Little Nut is manufactured by Edesia, Inc. in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
Little Nut was developed by a registered dietitian nutritionist. The tiny percentage of sustainably sourced palm oil in the recipe is safe, trans-fat free, and natural – unlike fully or partially hydrogenated oils. It helps maintain Little Nut’s stability, prevents messy oil separation, and makes it easier for babies 6+ months to swallow than peanut butter.
Little Nut provides 2.5g of peanut protein per serving.
If you are giving an allergenic food, such as peanuts, for the first time, it is recommended to do so at home or in a place where you can closely monitor your child’s reaction for at least two hours. If they do have a reaction to any allergenic foods, please inform your child’s pediatrician or family doctor. If the reaction is life-threatening, such as anaphylaxis, call 911 or take your child to the nearest emergency medical service provider.
Little Nut can be mixed with purees of fruits and vegetables or into cereals, it can be squeezed onto pieces of fruit (like ripe bananas), or spread on toast or pancakes cut into strips, or it can be eaten directly from the pack. We suggest incorporating it into your child’s current diet of foods that they are able to safely consume depending on their age and developmental abilities.
We suggest introducing your child Little Nut once your child is at least 6 months of age, developmentally ready to eat solid foods, and after having consumed a variety of other foods.
Little Nut’s carefully crafted formula is easier to swallow and less sticky than 100% peanut butter. We think the addition of fruit, makes Little Nut even yummier, too!
Protein helps keep your child stay fuller for longer. Many convenience foods for younger children lack protein.
Little Nut is a smooth blend of peanuts, coconut, and fruit powder in a convenient squeeze pack. It is made just for children over the age of 6 months of age. It provides 2.5g of peanut protein per serving, and 3 grams of total protein.
